Our Director and Accompanist    

             Barbara Wygal Lutz, Director

Since 1978 Barbara Wygal Lutz has been involved in numerous artistic endeavors throughout the Greenbrier Valley.  After helping establish the chorale in 1990, she has since conducted the community choir in more than 50 concerts.  Her work with young people includes being guest conductor and clinician to various choral groups, instructor of drama and music camps and seventeen years as a music educator at Alleghany High School in Virginia.  Currently, she is on the faculty at Greenbrier East High School where she directs three choirs and is a piano lab and theory instructor.  Over the years, she has performed in or directed more than 20 musicals, including The King and I, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Company, The Music Man and Annie, and has appeared in many revues and benefits.  She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association and the Music Educators National Conference and has studied with such renowned conductors as Joseph Flummerfelt, Rene Clausen and Andrew Megill.  In 1977, Mrs. Lutz was selected by audition to participate in the prestigious Professional Training Workshop directed by the late Robert Shaw in New York.  She lives in Ronceverte, WV with her husband Joseph.   

           Teresa D. Bryant, Accompanist

Teresa D. Bryant has served as an accompanist for the Virginia Music Educators Association All-Regional Chorus, Virginia Music Educators Association State Convention, Radford University Music Department, and the West Virginia All-State Children's Chorus which include musical collaborations with accomplished conductors and composers Sally K. Albrecht, Andy Beck, Rollo Dilworth, and Dr. James Litton, the retired Litton-Lodal Music Director and Conductor of the American Boychoir.  She is presently serving in the position as music specialist at Ronceverte Elementary School which includes the instruction of music education for grades K-5.  Prior to arriving at Ronceverte Elementary, she taught choral music, piano pedagogy and assisted with the instrumental music program at Greenbrier East High School for 15 years.  Professional teaching experiences also include the implementation and instruction of the Orff/Koldy music program for Covington, VA City School System.  A student of Dr. Lloyd Zurbrigg, Mrs. Bryant conducted a studio for private piano students while under the mentorship of Dr. Zurbrigg.  Mrs. Bryant holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music Education from Radford University.  She and her husband are the parents of two sons, Nathaniel and Carrington.
