The Greenbrier Valley
Chorale has developed a reputation throughout West Virginia for the high
caliber of its performances. In the
Spring of 2005, the Chorale was honored to host the world renowned choral
director, composer and arranger Alice Parker as guest conductor for a
program of her work. In 2003, the Greenbrier Valley Chorale was one of
four community choirs in West Virginia invited to premiere a new work
composed by Paul Halley celebrating the opening of the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences in
Charleston.
Chorale members range
in age from advanced high school students to retirees. Singers come
from all over Greenbrier County as well as Monroe, Pocahontas and Raleigh
Counties in West Virginia and Alleghany County, Virginia. New members
of all ages are welcome. We promise you'll have a great time singing
beautiful music from major works to jazz to Broadway!
